Gary Lorenz
Chairman of the board, Secretary, executive director

A graduate of Cal Poly Pomona’s electrical engineering program, Gary co-invented and developed the first electronic ID card system used by over 1,000 colleges nationwide. He is active in numerous Christian charities and brings a keen eye to all things technological, including NC4GK’s website and social media presence.

 
 

Tim Bernardy
Vice President of product donations, director

Tim is the primary liaison between NC4GK and clothing manufacturers. After studying journalism at Cal State Fullerton, Tim worked as a writer and photographer for Surfer and Surfing Magazine before transitioning to O’Neill as Marketing Director. This shift ultimately led to serving as CEO for Hot Tuna, a London-based clothing firm.

As Managing Director of Tim Bernardy, LLC, Tim develops products for clothing companies like Vans, Reef, Junk Food, Pacific Sunwear, Tilly’s, and Zumiez. He and his wife Stephanie have three children and worship at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest.

 
 

dustin neal, MBA, CPA
CFO, director

Dustin brings over 20 years of experience developing finance and accounting functions at hypergrowth cybersecurity start-ups including CrowdStrike, Cylance, and BlackBerry. He started his career in public accounting where he gained expertise in financial audit and strategic tax planning for early and growth-stage companies while with global firms Deloitte and KPMG, and smaller firms including his own practice acquired by Accounting & Tax Associates in 2013. Dustin has served as an expert witness in litigation proceedings, led over a dozen cloud financial systems implementations, and been a noted speaker at NetSuite’s SuiteWorld User Conference. He is an actively licensed CPA and member of the AICPA since 2002, was certified by the AICPA in Financial Forensics from 2010 to 2013, and holds an MBA from UC Irvine’s Paul Merage School of Business. Dustin serves on the board of various non-profit organizations and enjoys recreational time and travel with his wife and three children.

Greg Bright          
Founder and former Director

Greg is a graduate of San Jose State University and has a 35 year history of building and developing relationships for real estate projects and charitable opportunities. He is the primary contact at NC4GK for sponsors and donors who are interested in helping us grow into a national non-profit charity. He was instrumental in developing a partnership with The Salvation Army.

He and his wife Kathy have four daughters and worship at Compass Bible Church in Aliso Viejo, California.

Past CFO and director

A graduate of San Jose State University, Mark has over 45 years experience working in finance, mostly in Silicon Valley. He has overseen multiple IPOs, volunteered as a Big Brother, served on the board of a domestic violence non-profit, and founded the Covenant Fellowship Foundation, which sent more than 1,200 youth to summer camp.

He and his wife Linda live in Southern California near their two sons and five grandchildren.

John Lehner
past President, CEO, director

An entrepreneur with a deep knowledge of exercise physiology and nutrition, John has worked for Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) in Kenya. He and his wife Mary reside in Portland, Oregon and have two daughters and two grandchildren.
